U.S. Barber Half Dollars

Lot Photo Description Realized
Lot 573
Barber Half Dollar. 1893-O. NGC graded MS-65. Rich golden toning and fairly well struck with just a trace of weakness on a couple of stars and the eagle's arrow claw. As a date, 1893-O is very scarce in upper grades. NGC has only graded 6 this high, with a single coin graded higher, while PCGS has graded 4 this high, with 2 higher. Certainly not a lot of gems to go around. Identifiable by a tiny field nick between the fifth star and Liberty's cap.
Estimated Value $5,000 - 6,000.
