Lot Photo Description Realized
Lot 395
Draped Bust Quarter Dollar. 1806, 6 over 5. B-1, R-2. PCGS graded VF-25. Dark steel gray at the periphery, and lighter silver on the devices. Unevenly struck with some weakness on the shield. Clean surfaces and generally problem free, but we do note a minor dig above the 6 in the date on the drapery fold (PCGS # 5315) .
Estimated Value $500 - 600.

Lot 396
Draped Bust Quarter Dollar. 1806, 6 over 5. Fine-12. A very pleasing coin for the grade as it exhibits wear evenly distributed on both sides and is bascially free from any marks or problems. The usual weakness appears about the rims on both sides and the surfaces are nice and clean throughout. All is enhanced by the attractive light cabinet toning that is present on both sides.
Estimated Value $450 - 500.

Lot 397
Capped Bust Quarter Dollar. 1818, 8 over 5, B-1, R-2. PCGS graded MS-64 Premium Quality. Majestic blue peripheral toning on this mint state coin, with the centers bright and untoned on each side. Well struck by the dies and with minimal handling marks. The overdate feature is faint as always, but the upright of the 5 can be seen on the left side of the second 8. PCGS has graded 14 this high, with 4 as MS-65 above and 2 at the very top as MS-66 (PCGS # 5323) .
Estimated Value $5,000 - 7,000.

Lot 398
Capped Bust Quarter Dollar. 1819. Large 9, Specimen strike. B-2. Specimen 64. Mirror fields and a very bold strike combine to convince us that this coin was made as a specimen for the year. The usual die cracks through the stars. Silvery gray in color and very well preserved as well, with abundant eye appeal. A great rarity as a specimen strike, as all such early proofs were struck in extremely tiny numbers.
Estimated Value $6,500-UP.

Lot 399
Capped Bust Quarter Dollar. 1821. B-3, R-2. PCGS graded MS-65. A flashy gem example of this scarce early Capped Bust quarter. The fields are satiny and show very few signs of handling, expected for a gem grade. We note one minor tick on Liberty's cheek. Boldly struck on the stars, curls and feathers. Mostly white save for some faint gold streaks on both sides, and highly appealing. In an old green insert PCGS holder. We note in the current PCGS Population Report that only 4 have been graded this high of the date, with 4 graded above as MS-66 and a single coin at the top as MS-67 (PCGS # 5331) .
Estimated Value $9,500-UP.

Lot 401
Capped Bust Quarter Dollar. 1825, 5 over 3 or 4. Proof 64. Fiery mint glow on both sides greets the eye as this coin is examined. The surfaces are alive with a sunset reddish color, and the mirror fields are complete including between the tiny shield stripes. Boldly impressed by the dies and very choice as well. An exciting coin to view, and no doubt own as well.
Estimated Value $17,500-UP.
