Lot 558
1876 Trade Dollar. Proof 65. A resplendent gem proof who's surfaces are only bested by the lovely colors which further enhance them. Deep blue, gold and red on both sides, and this one must have been stored for decades in a Wayte Raymond album or something very similar, as these types of colors normally take many years to form. Struck during the centennial year of this country, and a top quality piece.
Estimated Value $4,500 - 5,500.

Lot 561
1876-CC Trade Dollar. NGC graded MS-63. A low mintage date from the famous Carson City Mint, just 509,000 were struck and very few were saved, especially in high grades. This coin is not only mint state, but it also has multicolored rainbow toning on both sides, ranging from deep gold to russet and green, with an arc situated behind Liberty's body up through her head, and quite alluring. Fully struck by the dies, with excellent details on the high points of the devices. We note a couple of reeding marks between the TRA of TRADE and these will serve to identify this rarity. NGC has graded only 7 this high, and importantly 4 higher, all as MS-64 above. In NGC holder #666787-001.
Estimated Value $10,000-UP.
