Egypt. 3-piece lot of Egyptian Government PMG graded 1917-1918 5 Piastres Notes. Consists of: 5 Piastres, 27 May, 1917. Pick-158. PMG 58 (Choice About Uncirculated), Serial No. 800949 - Unissued. Accompanying letter from Sylvia Haffner: "This 5 piastres is a very rare piece. It was used as a color trial and unlisted anywhere. The condition is superb for an Egyptian note. As you know all Egyptian notes are RARE from this period as they were burned after the British Protectorate left Egypt. I only have 4 pieces in my entire collection."
