Lot 396
1800. Blunt 1. BD-2, Rarity-3+. PCGS graded AU-50. Well struck with nice light golden toning. This is one of the more plentiful die pairings of the Blunt 1 date style, but these early half eagles are most commonly collected as type coins, to which this is a perfect example for the grade. Light wear on the high points, a bold strike throughout, and free of any circulation issues or even adjustment marks. That keeps the eye appeal high and every numismatic study of this coin is a delight for its surfaces and eye appeal quality. Pop 1; 2 finer at PCGS for the variety. Estimated Value $6,500 - UP
The Highland Estate.
