Lot 265
1795. NGC graded Details of Uncirculated, Cleaned. LM-10. A nicely toned example on both sides. The strike is sharp on Liberty's curls and the eagle, and this coin faces up well for the type collector who is looking for a high grade yet affordable example (comparatively). Most seen of this die pairing show the edge "cud" or rim break over the TY and first star past that of LIBERTY, where a small piece of this die chipped away during striking. The coiner apparently didn't pause to replace the broken die and coinage continued! Here's a decent coin with russet, blue and teal shades on both sides. Estimated Value $4,000 - UP
