Superior Royal Bayreuth Fish Plate Set and Two Gravy Boats with Hand Painted Freshwater Fish and Heavy Gilt Gold Trim. ca. 1920s. The Royal Bayreuth factory, founded in 1794, has been the world's unparalleled leader in the production of porcelain for over 200 years. As the oldest Bavarian china firm under private ownership, the Royal Bayreuth factory still stands. Royal Bayreuth is recognized today, as it has been for two centuries, as Germany's finest producer of quality porcelain. Though delicate to the touch, it's durability makes it last for hundreds of years.

Fish platter is magnificent with brook trout beautifully hand painted and measuring 23" x 9.25" and the 10 plates with 4 different fish. The gravy boats 8 x 4" are a contrasting match with their underwater scenes and shells. The platter, the ten plates gravy boats and trays have the blue mark of Royal Bayreuth, the double lions with PT, and the banner phrase "Priv. 1794"
There are no chips cracks or repairs. Very minimal gilt wear on the boats otherwise this set has been supremely well cared for going on 100 years. Estimated Value $1,000 - 1,500

1930's Art Deco Vintage Smoking Stand In Excellent Condition. Early 20th Century smoking stands were usually made of wood, usually, four legs with limited appeal aside from function. But during the 1930's the art deco movement impacted furnishings and design and wood stands became pedestal tables. Most higher end pieces were of chrome and glass and wired for electricity for illumination inside the glass accents and to power an electric cigarette lighter. This lot is a fine example of that period having all the original ashtrays, cigarette holder and the electric lighter. However sometime long in the past the plug was trimmed off flush to the base. Otherwise the chrome is in very fine condition, no cracks, rust, dents present and table stands without wobble or tilting. Estimated Value $600 - 1,000
