Jackie Roosevelt Robinson: Near Mint, Signed 3 x 5" Card, a Very Desirable Format for Autograph Collectors and Sports Enthusiasts. JSA Authenticated (1919-1972) Robinson became the first African American to play in Major League Baseball in the modern era. Robinson broke the baseball color line when he started at first base for the Brooklyn Dodgers on April 15, 1947. Jackie Robinson's cultural impact on the 20th Century is well documented not only as an athlete having been inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1962, but as an icon for African Americans and Civil Rights advocates during an extraordinarily difficult and racially polarized America.

  Rogers Hornsby: 1933 St. Louis Cardinals. HOF and Batting Legend Rogers Hornsby Signing His Name and Three Fellow Players, JSA Certified (1896-1963) Regarded as one of the greatest hitters of all time, Rogers Hornsby had 2,930 hits and 301 home runs in his career. He had a long career with the St. Louis Cardinals ending in 1926 but returned in 1933. One quite never knows the circumstances regarding a great many autographs obtained in baseball approaching a 100 years ago, but here Hornsby has signed his name to a leaf from a fan's autograph book and added fellow players Dizzy Dean, Jimmie Wilson and Pepper Martin. For what reason is a mystery. James Spence and Associates has certified this piece as all players written in the hand of Roger Hornsby.

Gene Autry: Rare Signed Rawlings Adirondack Big Stick Professional Model Bat (1907-1998) Gene Autry enjoyed one of the most incredible careers in the history of Hollywood and the music industry and ultimately radio, television and of course, baseball.
In the 1950s, Autry had been a minority owner of the minor-league Hollywood Stars. In 1960, when Major League Baseball announced plans to add an expansion team in Los Angeles baseball executives were so impressed by his approach that he was persuaded to become the owner of the franchise rather than simply its broadcast partner. The team, initially called the Los Angeles Angels upon its 1961 debut, moved to suburban Anaheim in 1966, and was renamed the California Angels.

  Ernest G. Hildner: Rare Signed First Day of Issue Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of Basketball, Hildner a Player on that First Team. Ernest G. Hildner (1873-1968) was one of the original players of the very first basketball team, the sport invented by Dr. James Naismith at Springfield College in 1891. He was the youngest member of the basketball team and he was the last and oldest surviving member. November 6, 1961 marked the 100th Anniversary of the Birthplace of Basketball and Hildner has signed a First Day Cover postmarked in Springfield, Mass which introduced the Naismith 4¢ stamp recognizing his contribution and the unveiling of the opening of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on campus, sponsored by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Four Very Scarce Football Programs: Cleveland Browns VS Chicago Rockets, 1946, Ohio State VS Michigan, 1948 & 1949 & Rose Bowl 1945. Four scarce, post-WWII football programs a mere few years after WWII.
1.) Cleveland Browns VS Chicago Rockets November 17th, 1946. Cleveland Stadium. Head Coach Paul Brown for the Browns and Pat Boland for the Rockets. Browns over Rockets 51-14. The 1946 Cleveland Browns season was the team's first in the All-America Football Conference (AAFC). The Browns, ended the year with a record of 12-2, winning the AAFC's Western Division. In overall excellent condition with only some rubbing to spine.
Not uncommon for this program to sell in excess of $1000

2.) Michigan at Ohio State November 20, 1948. A football rivalry that can be traced all the way back to 1897 Michigan won 13-3 under coach Wes Fesler. In very good condition. 3.5" rub on cover but very stout example with all pages present, no tears or missing pages.
3.) Ohio State at Michigan November 19,1949 Buckeyes and Wolverines tied 7-7. Whopping 50 page program in overall excellent condition. Minor rub to spine otherwise an ace example.
4.) Rose Bowl 30th Annual Tournament of Roses Football Game January 1, 1945 Trojans triumphed over Volunteers 25-0. Program in choice condition with only a .25" tear on a player page, remarkably well archived. Estimated Value $800 - 1,200

Yankees' Star Players: Signed Photos from Mickey Mantle, Reggie Jackson, Joe DiMaggio, and Don Larsen and Andy Carey. The New York Yankees are arguably one of the most successful professional sports team and highly decorated, winning more titles than any other franchise in the four major North American sports leagues. It is no surprise that they have had some of the biggest and greatest star players over the years:

1.) Signed clipping of the Daily News cover by Mickey Mantle - Mantle was one of the best players and sluggers of all time, and is regarded by many as the greatest switch hitter in baseball history. Mantle was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974 and was elected to the Major League Baseball All-Century Team in 1999. This clip celebrates his 500th home run, becoming the sixth player to do so.
2.) Autographed Photo of Joe DiMaggio - DiMaggio was a three-time Most Valuable Player Award winner and an All-Star in each of his 13 seasons, helping the club won ten American League pennants and nine World Series championships. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1955 and was voted the sport's greatest living player in a poll taken during baseball's centennial year of 1969.
3.) Autographed Photo of Reggie Jackson - Jackson was nicknamed "Mr. October" for his clutch hitting in the postseason with the Athletics and the Yankees and helped New York win four American League East divisional pennants, three American League pennants and back to back World Series titles, in 1977 and 1978. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1993.
4.) Photo of The Perfect World Series Game, signed by Don Larsen and Andy Carey - In Game 5 of the 1956 World Series against the Dodgers, pitcher Don Larsen threw the only perfect game in World Series history, which remains the only perfect game in postseason play and the only postseason no-hitter until 2010.
