Lot 625
1841 Proof Original Breen 1-A R5 PCGS VF Detail Cleaned. Glossy chocolate brown. Does not appear to have been cleaned, but there are some faint brush lines on the obverse thanks to an improper brushing (should be easy to fix). The surfaces are smooth and the only notable mark is a minor rim bruise at NI in UNITED. Apparently an example of this proof-only variety that escaped into circulation for some time. About 60-70 example of this proof variety are known but just a few saw circulation. Our grade is F15+. Estimated Value $1,500 - UP
