1773 Virginia Halfpenny Newman 22-S Rarity-5 PCGS XF Detail Cleaned. Glossy dark bluish steel and olive brown with lighter toning on the highpoints thanks to an old cleaning. Smooth and attractive. The only mark is a tiny hairline scratch above the head. Scarce die variety with strong swelling on the bust and neck and a die crack under the bust. Our grade is net VF30. Estimated Value $50 - 75

1783 Nova Constellatio with Pointed Rays and Small US Crosby 2-B R1 PCGS VF Detail Environmental Damage. A sharp piece but the planchet is covered with uniform fine granularity on all but the highpoints which are smooth. No verdigris and the only mark is a pinch or planchet void on the edge over AT in CONSTELLATIO. The date is strong and the US is complete in spite of minor swelling in the center. 1787 Fugio Cent Newman 19-SS PCGS XF Detail Cleaned. Mostly glossy olive brown and chocolate with lighter brown on the highpoints thanks to a light cleaning. Looks smooth to the unaided eye but microscopic granularity covers the fields and protected areas. Just a few marks including a dull scratch in the ring at K-3 on the reverse. The date and legends are complete and clear. MDS with dull die clashmarks on the obverse. Struck slightly off center to K-9. Our grade is net VF25. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label.
