Buckle, Henry Thomas. TRACTS OF FLAGELLATION: From the Original Editions 412/500. An early 20th century private printing with a limitation statement of 500 copies of which this is numbered 412. This private printing does have considerable history not the least of which if the author had the rights to print the contents. This book is clearly lifted from a prior collection of 7 volumes assembled by John Camden Hotten in the 1800s who reprinted 7 works of pornographic material from the late 18th Century. Printing history aside, this is an attractive diverse, and scarce set of works on flogging, beating, spanking, bums, rods, birch, and all things flagellatory. Full list of titles: 1. Sublime of Flagellation; 2. A Treatise of the Use of Flogging in Venereal Affairs; 3. Madame Birchini’s Dance; 4. Fashionable Lectures; 5. Lady Bumtickler’s Revels; 6. Exhibition of Female Flagellants in the Modest and Incontinent World; 7. Part two of The Exhibition of Female Flagellants. Book shows wear to boards which are colorfully papered, the front spine beginning to split at hinge. However the inside pages are clean and the spine itself quite stout. The spine is printed with the title, TRACTS OF FLAGELLATION, however there is no title page (as originally issued) and immediately begins with Sublime of Flagellation the first "chapter". A remarkable and erotic read in a difficult to find edition . Estimated Value $300 - 700

Dyson, Freeman J. "The Sun. The Genome. The Internet" Signed First Edition. (1923-2020) British-American theoretical and mathematical physicist, mathematician, and statistician known for his works in quantum field theory, astrophysics, random matrices, mathematical formulation of quantum mechanics, condensed matter physics, nuclear physics, and engineering. Dyson was awarded over 14 National and Global awards for his research and theories but never the Nobel Prize.
Author of numerous books, several of them best sellers, in 1999 he wrote with passionate conviction about the ethical uses of science. "The Sun, the Genome, and the Internet" is both a brilliant reinterpretation of the scientific process and a challenge to use new technologies to close, rather than widen, the gap between rich and poor. He proposes that the advent of solar power in the Third World would connect residents of even the most remote areas to the vast stores of information on the Internet, which could ultimately end the cultural isolation of the poorest countries. Similarly, he contends, breakthroughs in genetics might well enable us to give our children healthier lives and grow more efficient crops, thus restoring the economic and human vitality of village cultures devalued and dislocated by the global market.
Offered is a very scarce autographed First Edition copy by Dyson on mounted book plate as issued. Both book and dust cover in nearly mint condition.

Thompson, Hunter S. "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" (Inscribed and Signed) RARE. When the book was made into what ultimately has become a cult film starring Johnny Depp, and Benecio Del Toro, Universal Pictures re-issued the book through the Modern Library in 1998 to coincide with the release. Opposite the title page, Thompson has inscribed and signed the following "To J.S. Thank you for taking good care of the Colonel--but please keep yr. goddamn toes to yourself. OK Hunter S. Thompson." To fully understand what that inscriptions means, refer to "The Severed Fingers" by Jonathan Shaw (Pages 388-395) in "Who Killed Hunter S. Thompson?" compiled by Warren Hinckle. But know the "Colonel" is Johnny Depp, Thompson's nickname for the actor.
