Lewis Robert "Hack" Wilson: Rare Signed Autograph Book Leaf by One of the Greatest Power Hitters to Play the Game JSA Certification (1900-1948) "Hack" Wilson enjoyed great career achievements playing for two ball clubs, New York Giants (1923-1925) and the Chicago Cubs (1926-1931). Unusually built in size, for players 5' 6" or shorter, he has the most home runs for any player in major league history. An immensely colorful character in sports, unfortunately alcoholism took a very early toll both in his career and life. Hence the rarity of his autograph. Here, Hack Wilson has boldly signed a pink sheet lifted from a fan's autograph book boldly executed in black fountain pen ink. On verso Harry Fried an assemblyman from Brooklyn, NY has signed but in no way bleeds through or impacts the Wilson signature. But it does date the "Hack" Wilson autograph from late 30's. Virtually mint condition. 4¼ x 5¼". Estimated Value $1,500 - 2,500
