  U.S. Military Single Shot Pistol Manufactured by Henry Aston of Middleton, Connecticut Dated 1850. Model 1842 was the last single shot smoothbore pistol issued by the US Army and remained in service into the first years of the Civil War. Pistol has a .54 caliber barrel with wood stock is of walnut with a brass barrel band, trigger guard, buttcap and back strap in polished brass. The lock plate is marked "MIddtn Conn, 1850" as well as "US H.Aston". Nice example with trigger mechanism working. Equally fine example as the 1847 dated pistol also in auction.   Deluxe Model 1860 Staff & Field Officers Sword and Scabbard, Ames Sword, Chicoppee, Mass, Quite Fine Condition. Deluxe Model 1860 Staff & Field Officers Sword, by, 32-1/4'' blade, approx. 38-3/4'' overall; nickel-plated scabbard is 33-3/8'' with ornate brass hanger mounts and drag. Light straight blade elegantly etched in floral decorations, the letters ''US''; the reverse side is etched with a similar design and eagle. Brass grip is cast integrally to resemble ornate wrap in place of the more standard black fishskin. Handle is also wrapped with twisted copper wire as additional ornamentation. All metal parts of hilt are gilded brass. Knucklebow is a flattened strip of brass and pierced for a sword knot at the joint near pommel top. Center of the knucklebow shows additional floral decorations. Kidney-shaped counterguard is ornamented with eagle and trophy of flags. Hinged guard on reverse is decorated with floral wreaths, military trophy, and U.S. shield. Sword is in fine condition. Scabbard retains nickel plate as does the gilt. A beautiful seldom seen variation of an interesting Civil War period sword. Estimated Value $800 - 1,200

  US Military Model 1816 Flintlock Pistol Manufactured by Simeon North Converted to Percussion ca. 1850s for the Civil War. Converted Model 1816 flintlock pistol from gun makers, Simeon North for use during the Civil War. Originally produced between 1817-1820 a small round bolster was set at trigger where the touch hole used to be wotj the frizzen and related hardware were removed pistol originally had a wooden ramrod and was replaced with a steel one during conversion, but not present here. A pair of pocket pistols from the 1880s approximately .58 caliber, with engraved box lock, folding triggers and walnut grips, 5 1/2" octagonal barrel.   World War II Civil Defense Helmet, Air Raid Wardens and a Vietnam Era Militaria. US Training Gas Mask MIA1 with Original Canvas Stowage Bag. Two pieces of vintage militaria:
1.) Civil Defense Helmet, Air Raid Division ca. 1940s with original canvas liner.
2.) U.S. WW II Training Gas Mask M1A1 Introduced in 1940 as the M1, it changed names to the M1A1 when the exhaust valve was improved. These were designated M2 and M2A1 in 1941 and production ceased in 1942. Estimated Value $200 - 400

  Beautiful Mughal-Styled, Carved Ram's Head and Jeweled Jade-Hilted Dagger with Inlaid Gold and Colored Stones and Velvet Scabbard. Indian, Mughal style Jade Handle Dagger. Size 17 1/4 inches length. Single edged Damascus (water) steel blade with inlaid gold arabesque at the chape. Elaborate jade handle with pale green jade hilt beautifully carved into the head of a ram and decorated with foil-backed colorful stones mounted in gilt gold settings designed as foliate stems; the same on the recto and verso. Fine condition and displays beautifully. However we note that a fissure-break to the underside of the ram's snout was repaired (possibly during the carving) and only noticeable at close examination.
Also included a large Mughal-style medallion with semi-precious stones which include jade, agate carnelian, moon stone, amethyst, topaz and tourmaline set in gilt gold metal. Very handsome piece, 3 x 3" and in superior condition. Right side chain loop slightly compressed. Estimated Value $600 - 800

  Beautiful Mughal-Styled, Carved and Jeweled Jade-Hilted Dagger with Inlaid Gold and Colored Stones. Indian, Mughal style Jade Handle Dagger. Size 16" inches length. Single edged, curved Damascus (water) steel blade. Elaborate dark green jade handle beautifully carved with a pommel decorated throughout with marquis-shaped foil-backed stones mounted in gilt gold settings completely dotting the entire handle with two green foil backed stones at the hilt on both sides. Excellent condition. We note only on one side, two red stones have cracked otherwise a really striking piece. Estimated Value $500 - 800
