Duckbill Dinosaur Partial Mandible With 14 Teeth. Edmontosaurus annectens was a very large herbivore that was a favorite food choice for T-Rex. It is known as a Duckbill dinosaur because of its wide toothless beak. Behind the beak were rows of hundreds of replaceable teeth in its back jaw and Maxilla. This seven inch long section of the Maxilla has 14 original teeth with four partial teeth with replacement teeth forming beneath the exposed teeth. The excellent quality bone is a lovely brown color and no restoration. It is 65-67 million years old and was found on a private ranch in the Lance Creek Formation of Niobrara county Wyoming. Estimated Value $1,500 - 2,500

Spinosaurus Foot Claw and Toe Bone. Spinosaurus was a huge aquatic theropod dinosaur that was even bigger than a T-Rex. Its enormous long narrow skull was more crocodile-like as were its unserrated peg shaped teeth. Dinosaur claws are rarely found and big claws such as this 3.5 inch complete foot claw with a perfect tip and two inch phalange with no restoration are rarer still. The excellent claw also preserves the detail of its small blood grooves. Claws are much rarer than teeth because dinosaurs could replace their teeth but not their claws which were only fossilized after the dinosaur died. This 80 million year old dinosaur claw and toe bone was found in the Kem Kem Valley near Taouz, Morocco. This quality dinosaur fossil is housed in a 8X6 inch Riker mount. Estimated Value $1,000 - 1,200

A Wasp, Millipede and Spider in 100 Million Year Old Burmite. Most amber found in the world is less than 60 million years old, but amber from the Hukawng Valley of Burma/Myanmar is 97-103 million years old which means it was deposited from the resin of an extinct conifer tree at a time when dinosaurs roamed the earth. This larger cabochon of Burmite amber contains several different insects and arthropods including a millipede, a wasp and a spider. The millipede is 6mm long, the wasp is 5 mm long and the spider 1 ½ mm long in clear honey colored amber. Estimated Value $750 - 1,000

Huge 3.5 Inch Camarasaurus Tooth With Root. Camarasaurus was a huge saurapod, plant-eating dinosaur that lived 150 million years ago in the Morrison Formation of Colorado. Camarasaurus, meaning "chambered lizard" (referring to the hollow chamber in its vertebrae) lived alongside other more-famous saurapod behemoths such as Diplodicus and Apatosaurus (Brontosaurus). This huge Camarasaurus tooth is 3.5 inches long, consisting of a 1.7 inch enameled tooth and a 1.8 inch, mostly-complete root. Most teeth of dinosaurs are found without their root because they were lost while the dinosaur was still alive; rooted teeth would only be lost when the dinosaur died. Camarosaurus has a larger and sturdier skull than the Diplodicids and its teeth were much larger and of a totally different shape. This Camarosaurus tooth is shaped like a chisel, unlike the slender pencil shaped teeth of the Diplodicids. The shape of its teeth indicates that Camarasaurus ate different types of vegetation from the other saurapods, most likely coarser plants that grew closer to the ground. Saurapod teeth are much rarer than theropod teeth because they did not lose their teeth biting into other animals flesh and bone. This large and rare tooth is in an 8 x 6 inch Riker mount. Estimated Value $600 - 1,000

Important T-Rex Vertebra and Teeth Fragments. T-Rex is the most famous of all dinosaurs and any fossil from a T-Rex is highly sought after. This lot includes a partial vertebra that is 6 X 5 inches missing the neural spines. T-Rex had more than 70 such vertebrae along its spine and tail. This partial vertebra has the unusual honeycomb pattern with air holes seen on T-Rex vertebrae that reduced the weight of the bones. Also, found in the same area as the vertebrae are three tooth fragments, the largest being 1 ¼ inch long all having nice brown enamel preserved. Most dinosaur finds consist of a few broken bones and not anything complete and impressive. These rare 67 million year old T-Rex bones were found the Hell Creek Formation on a private ranch in Dawson County, Montana. Estimated Value $600 - UP

This rare flower with six petals in Burmite amber is 4mm long in a 10 X 7mm honey colored amber nugget. This is one of the earliest preserved flower fossils as flowers made their first appearance about 130 million years ago in the early Cretaceous. Estimated Value $500 - 800

Three Large Floating 475 Million Year Old Crinoids. Found in Erfoud, Morocco, this large 16X9 inch slab contains three near complete large Scyphocrinites crowns with exquisite delicate detail and quite large being 3X3, 3X2 and 2X2 inches. These dark brown 475 million year old crinoids still have some of their stems attached to the crowns. Close examination reveals the detailed feather-like feeding arms and small star-shaped calcite plates. There are two other partial crowns and several sections of additional stems. Crinoids are related to star fish and are known as "sea lilies" because they resemble plants more than animals. Scyphocrinites were an interesting floating crinoid with its stem attached to a round air-filled bulb that floated on the surface of the ocean. When the crinoids died, they would separate from their flotation bulbs and settle on the ocean bottom and the stems would quickly break apart into many pieces. Estimated Value $400 - UP

Slice of Esquel, the Most Beautiful Pallasite. Discovered in 1951 by a farmer in Chubut, Argentina, the single 680 Kg meteorite known as Esquel has been in great demand as the most beautiful of the rare type of meteorites known as pallasites. There are three major types of meteorites: iron, stony and stony-iron. Pallasites are stony-iron meteorites that originate from the core-mantle boundary of large planetary size asteroids that were destroyed early in the formation of the solar system. This rare type of meteorite consists of iron-nickel from the core of the asteroid, as well as olivine crystals known as peridot from the mantle. Peridot crystals (the gem state of olivine crystals) are the only known gem stones from space found in meteorites. Esquel is now rarely available as the single discovered meteorite has been completely sectioned with only the main mass end piece remaining. This large 74 x 58 x 3 mm section of Esquel has been polished on both sides to get the maximum reflection of the iron-nickel matrix, as well as displaying many beautiful translucent lightly shocked green olivine crystals. It weighs a hefty 63.2 grams and is displayed in a 6 x 5.5 inch Riker mount. Estimated Value $1,600 - 2,000

This was the largest meteor event in the last 100 years since a large meteor exploded over a remote area of Siberia in 1907. The official name of this meteorite is Chelyabinsk.

This beautiful fresh 40X18X10 mm complete stony meteorite designated as a LL5 SR4 weighs 14.1 grams LL5 SR4. This meteorite fragment is very interesting in that it has two different fusion crusts. The top has a thick dark brown fusion crust that formed high in the earth's atmosphere when the meteorite first broke up and the bottom side has a much thinner black fusion crust that started to form after the final tremendous explosion.
