  Cypro-Mycenaean Pottery, Large Polychrome Amphora, Pigments Well Preserved and in Near Choice Condition. Ancient Cyprus was at the crossroads of the world and the island went through periods of a variety of cultural influences. From 700-600 B.C. the consistent pottery style is on full display with this wonderful piece. A beautiful polychrome amphora decorated with bands of red and black paint, the pigments strikingly well preserved. Overall this piece is in outstanding condition. There is only a one inch area of restoration on the edge of the mouth expertly done, as well as two much smaller chips and a small chip to base. But the entire body is intact and unrestored. Roman Byzantine ancient oil lamp housed in a fitted well crafted olive wood box from forests in Jerusalem with an inscribed plaque made of copper from King Solomon's mines, the glass ring that holds the scroll explaining all the elements of the box is from Hebron and a large Byzantine coin is affixed to lid of box.   Exceptional Ancient Egyptian Bronze Figure of Isis Nursing the Infant Horus with Inlaid Eyes, ca. 26th Dynasty, 664-525 B.C. Isis, the protectress, typifies the maternal virtues of the female. Horus was the son of Isis and Osiris wearing his hair in the lock of youth. The goddess is seated with her right hand on her left breast, her feet resting on a small angled footstool, wearing a tripartite wig, cobra headdress surmounted by horned solar disk.

This outstanding quality bronze boasts a beautiful dark green and reddish brown patina with Isis still having almost all its original inlaid eyes (left missing a tiny fragment.) Her feet, hands and cobra headdress exhibit excellent detail. Free from repairs, only the left horn is missing its tip flanking the solar disk.

Figure stands 7" tall and sits on a custom wooden stand. An immensely appealing antiquity. Estimated Value $3,000 - 4,000

Larger bowl measures 3 x 6½ x 6½" and is decorated in simple designs of red and black paint with no cracks or repairs with only some tiny flake chips inside bowl.   Two (2) Pre-Colombian Mayan, Polychrome Terracotta Bowls: Copador and Chalice Shaped Bowl. Two fine Pre-Columbian polychrome terracotta bowls.
1.) Copador bowl decorated with polychrome slip colors of black and red with two of four panels decorated with geometric designs. In choice condition, bowl measures 3 x 5 x 5" with rounded bottom likely from Honduras. No cracks, chips or repairs
2.) Pedestal bowl in polychrome slip colors in black and reds in concentric geometric designs throughout with three nodules on opposing sides for decoration. One contusion to mouth of bowl has been repaired decades past as well as a small repair along bottom of pedestal 4 x 5½ x 5½". Nevertheless a very handsome piece that displays nicely.   Two (2) Pre-Colombian Mayan, Polychrome Terracotta Bowls: Impressive Orange & Black Painted, Ceremonial Tripod Bowl & Small Pot. Two (2) Pre-Columbian Mayan Lowlands, terracotta bowls of polychrome slip colors of orange, red and black
1) Painted and incised ceremonial tripod bowl, Mayan Lowlands with painted panels and zoomorphic symbols highlighted by incisions throughout surrounding the sides and continuing underneath the bowl between each of the three legs. The bowl was unearthed in fragments but now virtually intact after professional restoration decades ago. Restorer opted not to fill in cracks as commonly done on ancient Greek and Roman pottery. Interior is painted in red and black polychrome slip. Bowl displays beautifully even with the visible fissures and is a wonderful example from this period, 500-800 A.D. 3¼ x 9 x 9"
2.) Nicely paired with a terrific small pot with rounded bottom decorated in casual geometric designs in red and black colors. Pot is near fine with only very minor chips to neck. 4 x 3½ x 3½. Estimated Value $300 - 500

  Stunning Byzantine Style Cross, High Karat Yellow Gold with Emeralds, Garnet and Tiny Seed Pearls, Late 1700s. Wonderful late 1700s Byzantine cross in beautiful condition as well as a striking, wearable piece. Pendant has 5 rectangular emeralds centered with a garnet cabochon finely polished. Seed pearls are strung on gold wire then affixed around all edges with only a very few missing. A sturdy bail (loop) is of a size that can accommodate a large chain. Unusual lady's ring boasting a Hellenistic era bronze, a medallion or possibly a fragment of something larger with a relic quality bust of a female facing left possibly Cleopatra or certainly a woman of means. Oval is 1 x ¾" and on underside, the presumption to have the ring appear "finished" the underside of medallion is enameled in earthen colors which obviously can be seen when the ring is off the finger.
