  Magnificent, Sterling Silver Concho Belt by Acclaimed Navajo Artist, Calvin Martinez. 14 Conchos and One Buckle. Calvin Martinez is a self-taught Navajo silversmith, who has been making jewelry for over 30 years. Calvin Martinez - born 1960 -draws his creative inspiration for his pieces from his Navajo heritage and his expert silver smithing from his family. Martinez's eye for balance and color is on full display in this significant work. What sets this belt apart was avoiding exclusively turquoise or coral, but alternative semi-precious stones such as spiny oyster, gaspeite, lapis, onyx and yes, sleeping beauty turquoise and coral. It is in mint condition, appears never to have been worn as the two buckle holes in the leather have no evidence of stress. Belt, with almost 12 inches for adjustment is 44" in length. Each concho is 1½ x 2" and the buckle is 2 x 3". 15.65 troy ounces. Hall marked C. MTZ inside outline of an arrow point. Estimated Value $1,000 - 1,800

Outstanding 14K yellow gold stamp seal pendant boasting a carnelian intaglio of stunning quality of the famous sculpture, "Laocoön and His Sons". The sculpture is likely the most famous sculptures in history, unearthed in 1506 and has been on display at the Vatican ever since. Noted for it's depiction of the titanic struggle of the Trojan priest, Laocoön and his sons Antiphantes and Thymbraeus, as sea serpents wrap themselves and attack, versions varying between Ancient Greek writers but this work based on Virgil's "Aeneid". Superb and striking sterling silver concho necklace by award winning Navajo silversmith Tony Guerro. Guerro died in 1993 and has long been acclaimed as one of the finest Navajo silver smith in the mid to late 20th Century. Five conchos flank a larger center concho all boasting highly detailed work. Even the links between the concho have detailing. The 10 similar size conchos are 1.75 b 1", the center concho is 2 x 1½" The length of the conchos is 18". there is then 5" of chain on which could be shortened or lengthened but a present, necklace is 28" long. 96 grams.   Spectacular, Vintage Sterling Silver Bola by Navajo Artist Thomas Byrd, of Black Natsaka Ogre; Outstanding Artistry and Craftsmanship. Vintage sterling silver bola (1970s) by celebrated Navajo artist and silversmith, Thomas Byrd. Beautifully crafted in multiplelayers, the details of the Kachina Black Nataska Ogre are apparent given the horns and bow & arrow. In Hopi mythology Natsaka is a protector but also enforce good behavior in children. So his presence whether in kachina dolls or in mask form as seen here is a reminder for indoctrinating children in the society's history, behavioral expectations, moral codes, and ritual practices.
The bolo is about 3 7/8" tall, top to bottom, by about 3 5/8" wide and slides on double braided cord accented at ends in sterling silver and aiguillettes. 19" in length and 180 grams. Estimated Value $500 - 1,000

1.) Two (2) Vintage bolos by Helen Long, acclaimed Navajo silversmith from the mid-20th Century. Helen Long and her son Phillip Long were best known for their sterling silver Kachina rings, bolo ties, bracelets and pendant sets with turquoise or coral. Offered are two kachinas, one in Blue Gem Nevada turquoise and the other in rich coral. Bolos are 20" in length both with sterling silver with sterling silver aiguillettes. Beautiful condition, very well kept for some 45 years. 3 x 1¼" for both
2.) Very handsome, Sunface bolo beautifully made by Zuni artists Ralph and Lillie Kallestewa. Premium inlays of mother of pearl, onyx, turquoise, coral and fine details in the sterling silver make this bolo quite the fine piece. 2 x 2" 18" in length.
3.) Extremely colorful Sunface Kachina bolo (owner wanted to convert to pendant, but kachina still has leather strap slides and clasp on verso) with intricate inlays of mother of pearl, onyx, turquoise and malachite in a sterling silver mount. 3" x 1¼" bolo is hallmarked with the head of a cat/mountain lion on verso above sterling hallmark.   Collection of Four (4) Bolos, One Zuni Eagle with Inlays, Two of Large Turquoise Cabochons and One 1943 Walking Liberty 50¢ Piece. Excellent collection of four quality sterling silver bolos
1.) Sterling silver bolo centered with a 1943 Walking Liberty 50¢ piece set in a wide bezel evoking a Western belt buckle. Black and silver leather braiding of the cord gives this bolo unusual gleam and that doesn't include the bullet shaped aiguillettes at ends of cord. 18" in length and mint. Hallmarked Comstock Heritage Silversmiths located in Reno, Nevada and quite a luxury brand.
2.) Zuni eagle bolo, with inlays of turquoise, mother of pearl, onyx, coral and agate. 2¼ x 2" with the bolo 18" in length. No hallmark.
3.) Two bolos have premium cabochons in turquoise on sterling silver slides both 1½" in length, and the bolos measure in total length 18" and 20". Neither having a jeweler's hallmark. Estimated Value $400 - 600

From acclaimed Native American jeweler, Michael Horse***, a stunning 14K yellow Bisbee turquoise cabochon ring. Ring is signed Michael Horse on verso of turquoise. NOTE: The heavy mount for the turquoise is definitely 14K yellow gold. However the thin gold band is not, it appears to be gold filled.
