Lot 165		Exquisite, Early 19th Century, Bejeweled Maltese Cross with Emeralds, Garnets, Baroque Pearls & Diamond set in a Silver Mount with Gilt. A stunning antique brooch or pendant of a dramatically ornate Maltese cross boasting superior craftsmanship. Five square cut emeralds over a carat each with emerald baguettes radiating from center as well as accent emeralds on two of the danglers. Complimenting the emeralds are four round garnets and 22 baroque pearls of various sizes. A sole, single cut, triangle shaped 10 point diamond is suspended from the center dangler and actually has nice sparkle. Lot 168		Roman Cameo and High Karat Yellow Gold, 3rd Century A.D. Earrings with Blue Glass Beads Suspended on Danglers. A fine pair of ancient earrings boasting small, white, hard-stone cameos enhanced with a dark black pitch surrounding the cameo within the oval. The oval framing is part of a larger box like mount accented with twisted gold danglers each having a glass bead accent. The serpentine lobe hooks are quit long and add immeasurably to the pair's appeal. Condition: One dangler is missing as well as one bead. Further, there is a very tiny separation where hook attaches to one box. Dated to 3rd Century A.D., these earrings have otherwise survived the ages beautifully and remain a remarkable pair worthy of any collection. Boxed cameo mount is ½" in length then add another ½" including the danglers. Total gross weight is 6.70 grams. Lot 181		Very Nice Agate and High Karat Gold Pendant and Bead Necklace, 1st Millennium B.C. A fine agate and 22K (or higher) gold pendant necklace. The pendant itself is approximately 1½ x 1¼" that most certainly exhibits relic wear with a couple dings in the bezel and some crimping on verso. Pendant is centered with an exceptionally fine, large oval banded agate with four separate band layers visible in contrasting colors. Note: there is no carving on the agate. 36 high karat beads, two torch shaped, are strung alternately with fine quality, ancient banded agate beads adding immeasurable to the appeal of this necklace. Fantastic ancient round, disc and tubular lapis beads still maintaining their luster newly strung with a contemporary eye. Eight (8) medium high karat gold beads and two accent beads flank the remarkable, large, twisted bead at center. Necklace was extended to 20" with the addition of a series of 10 tiny (modern) glass beads, one inch in length, immediately before each clasp. S clasp and eyelet are modern and are gold-washed sterling silver. Absolutely safe to wear and a gorgeous piece of ancient work. Lot 187		Ancient, Chunky Rock Crystal and Carnelian Bead Necklace. Ancient carved rock crystal and carnelian beads. On average these are 19 x 17 mm beads. Of course the facets are irregular the, carnelian varying in color density and some of the rock crystals cloudy but that is what makes these pieces so appealing. This necklace was professionally strung with thin braided wire and has a lobster claw clasp and measures 19" in length. Casual or dressed for work, this necklace is as appealing as it is unusual. A masterpiece of design and craftsmanship (late 18th Century, early 19th Century) male portrait, hardstone cameo of a young, victorious athlete with a katinos or wreath on his head. Beautifully carved face with fine detail, the cameo set in an elaborate bezel of High Karat yellow gold, dramatically set apart with "tassel chains" each tipped with two seed pearls each. This is a large limestone scarab, 20.75mm x 14.5 mm, with typical beetle carving on top of scarab. By swiveling the scarab to the underside, it reveals a royal cartouche of a priest, pharaoh or king.
