Gem $100 2006A #88888888. You're bidding on a wonderful, in demand, $100 2006A FRN Fr. 2182-B boasting serial #KB88888888 I, graded PMG 66PPQ Gem Uncirculated. It is fresh off the press and about as attractive as anyone could desire. Estimated Value $4,000 - 7,000
As stated in the preface to the $100 section, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing has never issued a serial #99999999 on neither a $50 nor a $100 FRN from any series. Hence this is the last solid serial number in this set. The folks in Germany were able to supply the next best thing for a substitute in the following lot.

Serial #KK98899889C $100 FRN. Since you can't buy a solid s/n 99999999, this is the next best thing: A $100 2006A Fr. 2182-K #KK98899889C PMG 66EPQ Gem Unc. This is the highest possible radar/repeater serial number to fill in the gap on this set. The perfect substitution. Estimated Value $300 - 500
Since the 1981 series the BEP has stopped printing production for lower denomination banknotes at serial #96000000, and at 99200000 for $50 and $100 notes. This dandy serial number luckily was available from our friends in Germany and makes an ideal compliment to this set.

$5 1914 FRN #G99999999A. Hundreds of millions $5, $10, $20, $50, $100, $500, $1000, $5000 and $10,000 Large Size FRNs were printed in aggregate. This $5 Fr. 871a is the only known solid serial number 99999999 ever documented. It is a $5 1914 FRN Serial #G99999999A graded PMG 63EPQ. Both the G100,000,000A in AU and the rollover G1B in Gem CU exist. What a trophy note for even the most advanced collection of special serial numbered paper money. Estimated Value $30,000 - 50,000
This cataloger last handled this note five years ago in February 2017 where it appeared on my fixed price list at $36,000. Today that number seems far too low considering that there are no other solid serial #99999999s on any denomination large size FRNs. It is arguably the rarest note in the Zeitmann Brothers collection, and we'd suggest adding this piece to your cabinet.
Ex. Mike Abramson Currency FPL 2-2017 @ $36,000.
