Pershing" on "American Expeditionary Forces / Office of the Commander-In-Chief" letterhead, 7¾ x 5¾ in., France, Aug. 30, 1918, France, Very Fine. Marked "Personal," thanking Mr. Sidney B. Veit for his congratulations on Pershing's having received the Grand Croix de la Legion d'Honneur. Boldly signed. Original transmittal envelope has purple censor's stamp.
