Pershing" on "American Expeditionary Forces / Office of the Commander-In-Chief" letterhead, 7¾ x 5¾ in., France, Aug. 30, 1918, France, Very Fine. Marked "Personal," thanking Mr. Sidney B. Veit for his congratulations on Pershing's having received the Grand Croix de la Legion d'Honneur. Boldly signed. Original transmittal envelope has purple censor's stamp. With 10 x 8 in. photo of Pershing in uniform; ragged edges and tear toward right margin. Estimated Value $200 - 400
