Lot 593
1858. NGC graded Proof 67. Lovely golden and russet toning on both sides over the mirrored fields and frosted devices. Exceptional quality in hand and well as under study, as a super coin should be. Estimated Value $14,000 - 15,000
*This coin contains the COIN WORLD PLUS sticker.

1858. PCGS graded Proof 66. Nice rainbow toning on both sides with tinges of blue, gold and rose intermixed over the mirror fields and frosty devices. Boldly struck as expected for a proof, and incredible quality too. This low mintage date in proof is always in high demand from date and type collectors. An incredible coin with fantastic toning and excellent surfaces. Only 100 struck. Pop 18; 5 finer, 2 in 66+, 3 in 67. (PCGS # 3705) Estimated Value $9,000 - UP

Lot 596
1863. NGC graded Proof 68. PQ. A near perfect coin with fantastic untouched surfaces, radiant reflectivity and frosty devices. The whole flan is toned with delicate teal and lemon in areas, lighter silver elsewhere. Struck during the depths of the Civil War, not many Proofs were ordered and even fewer were saved. Today the number known is quite limited and after 35 years of certifiying coins, this one apparently is the finest known, and alone at the top position technically for this elusive issue. Only 460 struck. Pop 1; the finest example graded at both services. Estimated Value $15,000 - UP
*This coin contains the COIN WORLD PLUS sticker.
