Lot 88
1793 S-11c R3- Wreath Cent with Lettered Edge VF20+. Variety with a single leaf following DOLLAR in the edge lettering. Glossy medium brown and light chocolate with smooth surfaces and great eye appeal. Would deserve a higher grade except for a group of short scratches hidden on a single strand of hair behind the head. Otherwise the only notable mark is a small, light rim bruise over the T in UNITED. The planchet quality is superb. MDS, Breen state II, with obvious die clashmarks on the obverse. Struck slightly off center to K-5. The date, legends, and edge lettering are all complete and strong. An impressive 1793 Wreath Cent in spite of the small scratches. Estimated Value $6,000 - UP
