Lot 990
1890. PCGS graded MS-65 Deep Mirror Prooflike. A fully white coin which has the appearance of a gem Proof, but was verified as coming from circulation strike dies. Full deep mirror fields surround all the devices, which stand tall with their frosty white display of silver perfection. What really is amazing is that usually these DMPL coins show heavy marks from normal bag storage and handling, only a precious few are known in Gem grades, as the delicate mirror fields attracted handling marks like bugs to a light at night. Thus, a majestic gem like this is quite a find, and a condition rarity with fabulous eye appeal. Pop 12; tied for the finest Deep Mirror Prooflike examples graded at PCGS for the date. (PCGS # 97197) Estimated Value $9,000 - 9,500
*This coin contains the COIN WORLD PLUS sticker.
