Ancient Judaean (ca. 1700) Bronze Age, single handle terracotta jug, 7 x 3" on stand. Jug is intact with some areas of expert restoration. Note: Defense Minister, Moshe Dayan (1915-1981), who became a worldwide fighting symbol of the new state of Israel during the Six-Day War has signed in his hand "Sharon. B.C. 1700, M. Dayan." Stunning Ancient Byzantine Cross, 6 BC to 7 BC (at least 22K Yellow Gold) with Emeralds, Garnet and Tiny Seed Pearls. Wonderful ancient Byzantine cross in beautiful condition and a supremely striking wearable piece. Pendant has 5 rectangular emeralds centered with a garnet cabochon that has fine polish to it. Seed pearls are strung on gold wire then affixed around all edges with only a very few missing. A sturdy bail is of a size that can accommodate a large chain. Pendant is 2¼ x 2" and weighs 18.16 grams. Excellent condition and very scarce. Estimated Value $7,500 - UP
