Fantastic Collection of Early to Middle 20th Century Condoms, Packaging, and Sample "Vices". Wonderful collection here of "lifestyle products" form the early to med 20th Century. The bulk of this collection are vintage condoms and or packaging. These are highly collected for use as display and art projects and know individually many of these pieces can command 90$ and more each. A great many still have product inside the packaging but as expected, completely desiccated. Brands represented here are Mermaid, Carmen Brand ("sold only for prevention of disease") Smithies, Clinic, Ramses, Fourex, Touchdown (30s era football player running to end zone) Shadows (As Thin as a Shadow as Strong as an Ox), The Real Thing, Romeos, Golden Pheasant, Big Chief, Texide, Champ, Thins and Trojans. As for advertising for Peacock condoms, the company distributed clamps to hang in a discrete location for easy access. As for other products there are a variety of snuff samples, chewing tobacco, cigarettes, vintage chewing gum and sample booze bottles with corked tops. A great deal of potential here for creative use or studies in advertising and marketing. Estimated Value $500 - UP

Wonderful Collection of 50 Early 20th Century Products Related to Kitchen and Personal Care Products Many Free Samples Which are Rare. Phenomenal collection of products from the early 20th Century relating to kitchen items and personal grooming and health. In the early 20th Century, new products were exploding as pharmaceuticals, beauty products and other home improvement products became available. Since no television, and radio just beginning to rise, the best advertising was free product samples, usually smaller packaged trial sizes. These miniatures are far more scarce and highly prized by collectors which are the great majority here. Brilliantine, Bill Robinson's Hair Dressing, Marinello acne cream (amazing jar), Benzotol tooth powder, Jashbrow for eyelashes, Hy-Beaute hair pressing oil, Dreff's Gout and Rheumatism pills, Garrets' Virginia Dare Tonic (recommended for convalescents!), Ace High Pomade, Berry's Barb Beater (evidently for cuts) Jockey Club Hair Pomade, several samples of colognes and finally a mailed sample in original screw capped tube with tiny cork-topped bottle inside called Rupture (likely the most valuable piece in collection) to name just a few. For the kitchen, BenDix home washer soap, Fuller Furniture Polish, a can of a product called BEE from 1878, having something to do with winding a clock - the tin litho is outstanding, Neilson's Cocoa, and finally a sample of snuff, still sealed a tube of Dutch Brand Bicycle Tire Fluid, never opened. Lot 281
Early 20th Century Chinese, Wooden, Baby Stroller in Remarkable Condition Boasting Great Visual Appeal. Outstanding, scarce, antique Chinese baby stroller having great visual appeal, superb construction and a beautiful patina of aged varnish. Likely very early 20th Century but possibly even older. Wood wheels, superb craftsmanship (this walker is solidly built) and some appealing details. Walker was clearly stained dark but over the years layers of varnish have been added. Decades ago someone added removable partitions to create a seat so the younger toddler could also use, perfectly cut and stained dark to match. Clearly this walker has been used and passed on to other young families as its use and age adds immeasurably to the appeal. Chinese patterned grill can be found on the front adorned with two finials and the rear the same grill topped with a high back. 16 x 12 x 21" which are the dimensions of the actual "cart" with the high back (actually a handle for pushing) the height is 25" tall. Estimated Value $500 - UP
