1793 C-4 R3 Liberty Cap Facing Left PCGS graded F12. Choice glossy olive brown and steel. The surfaces are smooth and void of any notable marks. A premium 1793 half cent, just evenly worn. EDS, Manley state 1.0, before the tiny lump formed on top of the 7. The date is strong and the legends are complete and easily readable. Our grade is VG10. PCGS #1000. Estimated Value $4,500 - UP

1794 C-1a R3 Large Edge Letters PCGS graded VF35. Slightly glossy medium chocolate brown and steel. The surfaces are smooth except for a small spot of raised corrosion under the lowest curl and traces of microscopic granularity in a few protected places. No notable contact marks, only minor nicks consistent with the grade. LDS, Manley state 3.0, with strong die clashmarks. The reverse is rotated 20 degrees clockwise. 1795 C-6a R2 No Pole, Plain Edge PCGS graded AU50. Choice glossy medium chocolate brown and steel with a small puff of slightly lighter brown toning in the field before the face. Smooth and void of any notable marks or other defects. Struck over a cut-down Talbot Allum & Lee Cent. Traces of the undertype cent are visible on the lower part of the obverse, especially in the dentils under the date and in the field left of the lower curls. Nicely struck MDS, Manley state 2.0, with a subtle bulge in the field near the dentils right of the Y in LIBERTY. The reverse is slightly misaligned to the bottom while the obverse die is nearly centered on the planchet. A very nice half cent. Our grade is EF40. PCGS #1018. Pop 17; 33 graded higher at PCGS. The surfaces are smooth and the only notable marks are a pair of very light hairline scratches through the denominator. M-LDS, Manley state 4.0, with numerous die cracks on the obverse and uneven surfaces caused by significant die failure. The date is strong and the misplaced 1 above the normal 1 is obvious. 1800 C-1 R2 PCGS AU Detail Cleaned. Choice glossy light olive brown and steel. The surfaces are satiny and the eye appeal of this half cent is outstanding. And it does not appear to be "Cleaned" as claimed by PCGS. The only marks are some extremely tiny planchet flakes scattered over the fields on the obverse, as struck. Sharply struck M-LDS, Manley state 4.0. There is a narrow rim cud over LIB and the curl left of the date is open thanks to excessive die polishing. Our grade is EF45. Satiny mint luster covers the fields and protected areas on both sides and this half cent has excellent eye appeal. No notable contact marks but a glass reveals numerous extremely tiny planchet flakes scattered over the obverse (as struck). The reverse is flawless. Subtle hints of very faded mint color remain visible in a couple of the most-protected areas around the wreath. The only marks are two small nicks on the jaw at the throat and another on the bottom of the U in UNITED. A very attractive half cent, just lightly worn on the highpoints. 1808 C-3 R1 PCGS graded AU53. Glossy tan and light steel brown with darker olive brown and steel on the highpoints. Mint frost shows in protected areas and this half cent has excellent eye appeal. The best identifying mark is a tiny spot of reddish brown toning on the numerator. Nicely struck E-MDS with dentils visible on both sides and no die cracks on the reverse. The reverse is rotated 60 degrees CCW relative to the normal head-to-foot die orientation. Our grade is EF45. PCGS #1107. Pop 12; 52 graded higher at PCGS. Estimated Value $550 - UP

An attractive half cent that looks mint state to the unaided eye, but a glass reveals a bit of rub on the highpoints of the devices. The notable marks are a small planchet flake in the field above the bust (as struck) and a tiny rim bruise at star 7. LDS, Manley state 6.0, with narrow rim cud breaks from above the back of the head to star 10. The details at the bottom of the reverse are severely weakened by die wear. Our grade is AU50. Peeps of mint luster show in protected areas. The only mark is a faint vertical hairline just right of the F in HALF. There are traces of crud on both sides, particularly on the reverse (probably removable). MDS with fine radial die flowlines in the fields and repunching clearly visible at the left bottom of the 0 in the date. Struck with the reverse rotated 45 degrees CCW. Our grade is EF45+. Essentially flawless, just lightly and evenly worn. An incipient planchet clip off the end of the bust can help identify this piece, but it is barely visible. EDS, Manley state 1.0, before any die cracks on the obverse. The obverse is slightly misaligned to K-9 while the reverse is centered on the planchet. A premium mid-grade example of this tough date. Looks like a half cent that has been sitting untouched for over 150 years following a very short time in circulation. The only marks are a few small nicks in the center of the reverse.
