Lot 454
1860. Pointed bust. PCGS graded MS-66+. CAC. PQ. A nice strike with nice even tone that is mostly copper-nickel bright with a touch of the usual light copper traces blended into the surfaces. The strike is really sharp, and the surfaces are free of all but a few tiny nicks. A scarce early date Indian cent which is rarely found so well preserved and attractive. Great eye appeal. Pop 4; 2 finer, 1 in 67, 1 in 67+. (PCGS # 2056) Estimated Value $9,000 - UP

1908-S. PCGS graded MS-66+ Red. CAC. PQ. Wow, here's a stunning example of this popular issue. The strike is quite sharp, with no signs of softness. The surfaces are amazing, with vibrant original red dominating both sides. Notice that the fields are pristine and free of distractions. The mintage was tiny at 1,115,000 pieces, and these were the first branch mint one cent coins struck, all prior cents were coined in Philadelphia. A wonderful red example and should be graded MS-67 Red. Pop 19; 4 finer in 67 RD. (PCGS # 2234) Estimated Value $6,000 - UP

1915-S. PCGS graded MS-66 Red. CAC. PQ. Well struck with full mint red colors on both sides and perfectly preserved with no diminishing bagmarks or spotting to distract the eye. A tough date in high grades, and one which seldom retains its full mint red as most of these 1915-S cents toned over decades ago, how this one survived in such superlative condition will never be known, but here it is. Destined for an advanced Lincoln cent date and mint collection. Thoroughly impressive quality. Pop 10; tied for the finest MSRD Examples graded at both services. (PCGS # 2485) Estimated Value $10,000 - UP

Lot 480
1944-D, D over S. PCGS graded MS-66+ Red. CAC. PQ. A fully red example. The surfaces are pristine, with glowing mint copper red throughout. This blundered mintmark started out as a San Francisco Mint obverse die, then after the S was partially effaced, a D for Denver was put into its place. The top of the underlying S clearly shows above the D. This has always been in high demand since Delma K. Romines discovered this mint blunder in 1962. Naturally most had entered circulation by then, and precious few gems exist today. This is one of the very finest seen by PCGS and is perfect for an advanced Set Registry collection. PCGS Price Guide shows $23,500. Pop 3; 4 finer, 3 in 67, 1 in 67+. (PCGS # 2728) Estimated Value $13,000 - UP
