Also in this lot is a set of four embossed - stamped envelopes that were issued by the US Post Office Department in 1892 and 93 for the World's Columbian Exposition and 400th anniversary of Columbus' discovery of America.  The designs depict the profiles of "Christopher Columbus" and of "Liberty" and were issued in same colors as corresponding denomination postage stamps. They were is issued both with and with out mount. The Unite the Americas Medal features allegorical figures holding hands making up shape of North and South America. The reverse has "To Unite The Americas in Bonds of Prosperity and Peace" with in a wreath. Issued with and with out a mount and in bronze and brass.
