Lot 1571
1888. PCGS graded Proof 64 Cameo. Here is a rare and desirable Proof gold coin, of which only 291 were struck, with only 150 to 200 examples estimated to have survived according to PCGS Pop Report. This one is close to the gem grade level, with outstanding surfaces and rich eye appeal. Combine this with the gorgeous Cameo contrast between the mirror fields and frosted devices and you have a highly sought after numismatic treasure. One of the most popular and collectible denominations of gold coins, and this the penultimate year of production. Pop 7; 22 finer at PCGS for Proof Cameo. (PCGS # 88052) Value $13,000 - 14,000
