Lot Photo Description Realized
Lot 400
1793 C-1. PCGS graded VG-10. Choice glossy medium chocolate brown and steel. A premium example for the grade, perfectly smooth and essentially flawless. MDS, Manley state 2.0. Minor swelling in the center of the reverse has caused HALF CENT to be worn away but the date and legends are complete and easily readable (although a few letters outside the wreath are weak). Our grade is G6. The attribution and Widok Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label (PCGS # 35003) Value $3,000 - UP

Lot 401
1793 C-2 R3 Liberty Cap. PCGS graded VF-30. CAC. Beautiful glossy medium brown and light chocolate. Smooth and virtually perfect, a tiny tick over the M in AMERICA is the only notable mark and it is trivial. Nicely struck and superb in every way with just light wear on the devices. EDS. The fields are smooth with no die rust evident on either side. Struck with the reverse rotated 45 degrees clockwise from a normal head-to-foot die orientation (not uncommon for this variety). Throw out the price guides for this one; it is special! Our grade is VF35, slightly higher than the PCGS grade. The attribution and Widok Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 6 finer. (PCGS # 35006) Value $25,000 - UP

Lot 402
1793 C-3 R3 Liberty Cap. PCGS graded VF-20. Rather frosty medium brown blending to light chocolate with a swipe of dark olive brown toning near the rim right of the lower curls. The surfaces are perfectly smooth but slightly dull from a thin layer of natural oxidation, and it appears this half cent has never been brushed. The only marks are a fine, very old scratch hidden against the profile from the forelock down to the lips. The scratch looks like dirt or crud tucked up against the profile. It is not visible to the unaided eye. MDS. The date and legends are complete and clear. Our grade is F12. The attribution and Widok Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 12 finer. (PCGS # 35009) Value $9,000 - UP

Lot 403
1793 C-4 R3 Liberty Cap. PCGS graded Fine-15. Very attractive glossy light olive and medium chocolate brown with slightly lighter toning in protected areas around the devices. The surfaces are smooth and this half cent has outstanding eye appeal. The only notable marks are a tiny rim bruise over the second S in STATES and another below the 2 in the denominator. MDS, Manley state 2.0, with a strong vertical dash up from the top of the 7. Another superior quality 1793 Liberty Cap half cent. Our grade is F12. The attribution and Widok Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label (PCGS # 35012) Value $7,000 - UP
