Judaica - Pair of Sterling Silver Rimonim. A luxurious pair of sterling silver Rimonim which sits on the top of the Torah scroll rollers. Each is adorned with a crown and windows with hanging bells. These mid 20th century objects were designed and handmade by the finest silversmiths in Iran at the time. The finely detailed filigree craftsmanship is amazing. Perfect condition. Weight: 23 ozt . Beautiful Collection of 32 Scarce Commemorative Holocaust Memorial Medallions and Medals Boasting Exceptional Artistry. Beautiful collection of 32 Holocaust memorial medallions all of exceptional artistry in commemoration of ghettos, death camps and heroes, of liberation, of gratitude to those who helped, and of museums build as a remembrance of one of the darkest periods in the history of mankind. Seven of the pieces are of a size and weight that convey with such extraordinary depth and meaningful tribute to all victims and survivors of the Holocaust. Included is the Simon Wiesenthal Congressional Medal struck by the Bureau of the Mint in bronze in 1980. Others include the stunning 45th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Camps medallion, the 30th Anniversary of the Majdanek State Museum, the medallion commemorating the Anniversary of Janusz Korczak's birth an masterfully executed example, the 60th Anniversary of the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum, the complete set of the three National Monument and Remberance of Buchenwald, Ravensbruck and Sachsenchausen Concentration Camps medals, 60th Anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, Victims of the Lodz Ghetto medallion and many other beautifully executed pieces. Sharir, David: "The Seven Festivals" Complete Set of 7 Serigraphs in Original Folio and Hardcase (1938 -) David Sharir was born in Israel, studied art in Tel Aviv and continued his studies of architecture and theater design in Florence and Rome. In 1966 he moved to Jaffa, where he still resides today, and where he continued to elevate his unique style of creating whimsical works of Biblical themes combined with fantasy.
Offered in a monumental portfolio entitled The Seven Festivals Each serigraph measures 30 x 22" and is signed and numbered by the artist, with this issue numbered A32/225. The festivals celebrated in Sharir's gloriously colorful works are Shavuot, Pessach, Tu BiShvat, Hannukah, Sukkot, Purim and Rosh Hashanah. Serigraph enclosed in grey linen hardcover folio which is then fitted into a hardcase covered in navy fabric and silver gilt letters 32 x 24". Serigraphs and folio in nearly mint condtion; outside hard case very fine with some scuffs and dust. 19 pounds.
