Lot 1355
1907. High relief, Roman numerals, wire rim. PCGS graded MS-64. Lightly toned on both sides with outstanding visual appeal for this most popular issue. The strike(s) are incredible, bringing ever nuance of the bold three dimensional design into precise order. Liberty's dress folds, the suns rays, the eagle's tiniest feathers, all are crisp and full. The 1907 High Relief coins are Augustus Saint-Gaudens's masterpiece of design for our largest gold coin denomination. Only slightly modified from the original models, these visually stunning coins are as beautiful as they were challenging to produce. Here is a magnificent example of this prized coin. Only 11,250 struck (PCGS # 9135) Estimate Value $19,000 - 20,000

Lot 1356
1907. High relief, Roman numerals, flat rim. PCGS graded MS-64. Nice golden toning on both sides. A near Gem example of this most popular of the Saint-Gaudens double eagles, with towering eye appeal and near perfect surfaces, these High Relief coins are a combinnation of affordability with rarity and popularity in abundance. The strike is full and complete, and the eye appeal is legendary on this famous High Relief double eagle. Liberty appears to literally walk off the obverse, while the eagle seems to fly high above the sunburst of rays. The number coined will never make up for the unending demand. Here is a particularly handsome example that will long please any numismatist who has the wherewithall to capture this prize (PCGS # 9136) Estimate Value $21,000 - 22,000
