Lot 1090
1849-D. PCGS graded MS-63. A magnificent example! Boldly struck and shimmering with greenish-golden mint bloom color. The surfaces show scarcely any signs of handling which adds to the already strong eye appeal. A low mintage, first year of the denomination date. Perhaps this one was saved as the first of its kind, and thankfully for collectors today such a coin even exists. Destined for an advanced collection where this coin will be long cherished. Only 21,588 struck. Pop 16; 4 finer in 64. (PCGS # 7507) Estimate Value $7,500 - UP

Lot 1092
1850-D. PCGS graded AU-55. A deep impression exhibiting golden-orange mint luster. This date and mint were struck with a single pair of dies, with the mintmark somewhat high near the ribbon knot. The reverse lettering is often filled such as the LAR of DOLLAR, making them indistinct. Underrated as a date and mint, with this excellent example sure to be sought out by astute collectors. Only 8,382 struck. Pop 15; 27 finer at PCGS. (PCGS # 7511) Estimate Value $2,000 - UP
