1876-CC. Doubled die. PCGS graded MS-64+. CAC. PQ. Wonderful natural rainbow toning on both sides showing a blend of russet, rose and blue shades. The strike is sharp, and the surfaces are absolutely stunning in quality. Add to this the rarity of the Doubled Die reverse, and you have a phenomenal coin. In all of the years we have been selling coins at auctions, we have neer seen another example this choice. Certainly should be MS-65. Pop 1; the finest example graded for the variety at both services; the second finest at both services for the date with only 1 coin graded higher in MS-65 at PCGS. Just Graded! (PCGS # 97042) Estimate Value $35,000 - UP
