Lot 1071		15¢ Yellow Orange, Double Paper Mint, RARE, P.F. Cert. Scott 163b. Fresh stamp with OG. This is the only mint example in the PF archives with only one used example in the archives as well. Cert notes that the stamp bears a crease and small tear at top. The mint stamp may well be UNIQUE. Only used is valued in Scott ($1250) while mint is blank (not even a dash). Scott 327. 1904, Both 2¢ & 10¢ Louisiana Purchase stamps tied by July 4, 1904 hand stamp duplex St Louis Exposition cancels to 1¢ McKinley post card sent to the Transvaal. Message on reverse states card was posted in the US Gov't Building (at the exhibition) and the sender was going to see the Boer War (exhibit) that afternoon. Rare destination and unusual franking.
