Original Apollo Space Suit Glove Hand Mold: Used with the A6L, A7L and A7LB Space Suit Configurations. Apollo space suits and gloves were custom made for every astronaut. The process of making both intra-vehicular and extra-vehicular gloves for the Apollo program involved first making a cast of the individual astronaut's hands, then further detailed black rubber hand molds were created by NASA model makers to be used as the dipping molds for producing their flight gloves. Offered is a rare opportunity to acquire such a dipping mold. While the glove is A6L OOG the incised ID # of T-386 specific to an astronaut is unknow until such time a master identification cross-reference list can be found. Dipping mold comes with a fact sheet and more detailed information which has two photos in the text of a dipping mold and a finished glove. Excellent condition. Estimate Value $1,000 - UP

Apollo Block I Space Suit Pressure Indicator Gauge. The David Clark Company was contracted during the beginning of the Apollo Program to provide the space suits for the "Block I" early missions without extra-vehicular activity capabilities as opposed to the suits being developed in Block II versions by a different resource. The pressure suit indicator offered was provided by the David Clark Company custom designed by Dyna Magnetic Devices, Inc. and was located on the left lower arm of the suit for easy verification of the suit pressure. After the disastrous Apollo 1 Command Module fire, monumental changes were made to the whole Apollo program including suit design. Gauge comes with a fact sheet with a photo of Grissom, White and Chaffee wearing these original Clark Company suits, the gauges on their left arms clearly visible. Estimate Value $500 - UP

Apollo Extravehicular Abrasion Glove Cover (Early Prototype). An original protective over-glove assembly used by astronauts to provide additional wear and abrasion protection to the basic extravehicular glove during lunar surface operations. It was fabricated by Beta fabric and coated carboxy nitroso rubber due to its non-flammability and low temperature flexibility properties. This particular piece represents an early full-finger version of the over-glove configuration. It was later changed to be fingerless. After providing the necessary protection as required, these were disposable at the discretion of the astronaut. Fact sheet with history included. Estimate Value $900 - UP
