Mercury Astronauts: Five Signed Photos, Carpenter, Schirra, Cooper, Shepard and Slayton, Four Images of the Period. Five signed 8 x 10" photos from five of the seven Mercury Astronauts. Scott Carpenter, Wally Schirra, Gordon Cooper and Alan Shepard are each signed on images taken durning the Mercury 7 program. Deke Slayton never got to fly during the Mercury program due to a heart condition and was grounded for decades until finally approved for ASTP so we have included his striking portrait in his white space suit, signed. All are in excellent condition with bold signatures. Estimate Value $600 - UP

Mercury Seven Astronauts Signed Cover Including Werner Von Braun with Vintage Original B & W Photo Presentation. Outstanding signed " Man-In-Space: Mission of Project Mercury" postal cover post marked "Patrick Air Force Base July, 1961" with autographs by all Mercury Astronauts: (as signed) Deke Slayton, Scott Carpenter, John Glenn, Wally Schirra, Virgil T. Grissom, Alan Shepard, Gordon Cooper and one of the most famous and charismatic "Fathers of Space Travel", Wernher Von Braun also signing. Presentation includes a rare vintage original black and white 8 x 10" photo of the Mercury 7 Astronauts with Von Braun to the far right of the photo. Beautiful museum grade framing. 21½ x 17½". Mercury 8 Badge on USS Kearsarge, Unlimited Access to Donald "Deke" Slayton. The USS Kearsarge after being completely overhauled and upgraded, departed Long Beach, California on August 1, 1962 to station herself in the Western Range as a recovery ship in the Project Mercury orbital space flight of astronaut Walter Schirra. Recovery was on October 3rd with the USS Kearsarge returning him to Honolulu for the flight back to the mainland. Offered is Deke Slayton's "Unlimited" access laminated badge aboard the storied aircraft carrier, while present and assisting in the successful recovery. 4 x 2¾" Comes with LOA.
