Van Briggle Pottery: "Water Nymph with Flower" Stunning, Monumental Vase. Van Briggle pottery was first produced in the spring of 1901 (some sources cite 1900) by Artus Van Briggle in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He studied in France in the late 1800s and gained an appreciation for Art Nouveau styles while abroad. After working for a pottery company in Ohio, he moved to Colorado Springs for health reasons, unfortunately dying far too soon from tuberculosis. His wife, Annie, took over and the pottery company has changed hands over the course of decades still making signature pieces

A tall and stunning piece from 2003, Van Briggle Pottery vase (frequently referred to as a floor vase but can certainly grace any table) with a water nymph holding a flower. Sensuous detail with superb matte green, salmon and peach glaze. MINT CONDITION. No chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind. Bottom marked with logo (converged AA for Artus and Annie), V3, Van Briggle, Colorado. Springs, Colorado and cipher G.P. for Gail Pache. Vase stands a massive 20 ¼" tall and 10½" wide at base. Estimate Value $500 - UP
