1793 S-3 R3- Chain AMERICA PCGS graded VG8. Slightly glossy dark steel brown and olive. The surfaces are smooth and the only notable mark is a dull nick on the front edge of the neck. The central devices are well struck but the date and legend outside the chain are relatively weak. The 93 in the date is visible but the 17 is faint. Looks like a cent that has never been brushed or "improved" in any way. Our grade is G5. Estimate Value $4,000 - UP

1793 S-3 R3- Chain AMERICA PCGS Genuine, Fine Details, Environmental Damage. Dark steel brown and chocolate. The highpoints are rather glossy while the remainder of the planchet is closer to matte thanks to microscopic granularity. No verdigris and the only notable marks are a vertical nick on the cheek and a light rim bruise over ST in STATES. The date is strong and the legends are clear. MDS with a die clashmark at the bottom of the neck. Our grade is net VG10. Estimate Value $5,000 - UP

1793 S-3 R3- Chain AMERICA ANACS VF Details Net VG8, Corroded & Burnished. Slightly glossy medium chocolate and darker olive brown. The highpoints are mostly smooth thanks to a light burnishing while the remainder of the surfaces are covered with microscopic porosity. No verdigris and the only significant mark is a dull scratch on the second S in STATES. LDS. The date and legends are complete and easily readable. Our grade is net VG7. The attribution is noted on the ANACS label. Estimate Value $3,500 - UP
