Lot 827
1876 Twenty Cents. ANACS graded Proof 65. This one has a nice cameo appearance from the frosted devices and appealing blue and gold toning on both sides. Fully struck by the dies, as expected for a proof, and with clean fields and devices. Examination will note a couple of minor hairlines, but no other notable signs of contact. A tiny lump is noted on Liberty's right leg, just above her knee, and this is probably present on all proofs struck from these dies.
Estimated Value $3,500 - 4,000.

Unsold
Lot 828
1877 Twenty Cents. PCGS graded Proof 61. Light gold toning on the lower obverse and reflective in the fields despite typical hairlines. Although 510 were struck, many were apparently melted after lower than expected sales were encountered. For the grade, this is a pretty nice coin.
Estimated Value $1,700 - 2,000.

Lot 829
1878 Twenty Cents. NGC graded Proof 64 Cameo. A rare cameo proof issue of this short-lived type. NGC has only graded 7 as Cameo proofs in all. Light gray in the fields and deeply frosted on the devices. The delicate mirror fields show moderate hairlines, limiting the grade.
Estimated Value $2,000 - 2,500.
