Lot 1446
1847-C. NGC graded MS-62. Well struck and light golden toning, and this is one of the sort of "plentiful" Charlotte Mint issues, as much as one can say such a silly statement. However, not many exist this well preserved, as most are well circulated and can't claim any grade close to mint state. Gorgeous color and surfaces! Only 84,151 struck. Pop 2; 1 finer in 63. (PCGS # 8223) Estimate Value $12,000 - 13,000

1903. PCGS graded Proof 65+ Cameo. CAC. A fully untoned gem proof cameo. This one shows fantastic striking, with every nuance bold of the devices. The fields and surfaces are free of any signs of contact. For identification, there is a minor speck on the Motto ribbon on the left. Not many of this original mintage of proof coins exhibit the Cameo contrast, adding measurably to the eye appeal. Only 154 proofs struck. Pop 1; 5 finer, 1 in 66 CAM; 2 in 67 CAM; 2 in 67+CAM. (PCGS # 88498) Estimate Value $30,000 - UP

Lot 1460
1904. PCGS graded Proof 65 Cameo. A totally brilliant proof of gem quality with excellent cameo contrast. The strike is bold throughout and the surfaces are glittering in reflectivity and quite attractive in frosty quality. A steller example of this popular Proof gold issue. Most of these late issue (late issue for the Liberty $5 gold pieces) were struck in the "all reflective" style with less of the Cameo frosted proof devices style, hence this is one of the final appearances of the cameo gold proofs. Compare this to those of 1897 half eagles for instance! Back then, Cameo and Deep Cameo coins were almost standard issue. Only 136 struck. Pop 6; 3 finer, 1 in 66, 2 in 67. (PCGS # 88499) Estimate Value $30,000 - UP

1908. NGC graded Proof 66. CAC. PQ. Boldly struck and almost perfect. This is the first year of issue of the Indian design, and what a regal example of this popular and desirable coin this is. Only a modest number of Matte Proofs were struck, and this is one of the finer survivor known today, with super clean surfaces and a strong strike. A majestic coin that offers everything an advanced collector could hope to find. Only 167 struck. Pop 27; 12 finer, 11 in 67, 1 in 68. Estimate Value $65,000 - UP
