1793 S-2 R4+ Chain AMERICA PCGS Genuine, AG Details Damage. Glossy medium chocolate brown and steel. No corrosion or verdigris, but there are two very tiny pits in the hair at the top of the head and a deep planchet void (not "damage") at the top of the C in CENT. The date is quite faint, essentially gone, but LIBERTY and most of the legend on the reverse remains visible. Our grade is AG3. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Estimate Value $1,600 - UP

1793 S-3 R3- Chain AMERICA PCGS Genuine, AG Details Environmental Damage. Dark steel brown and chocolate. The planchet is covered with uniform microscopic granularity and there is a thin planchet fissure down through the I in UNITED at the top of the reverse (as struck). No verdigris and only minor contact marks for the grade. The notable marks are a rim bruise under the 3 and some very fine scratches hidden in the toning on both sides. The date is easily readable and at least half of the legends are clear. Our grade is G4+ sharpness net AG3. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Estimate Value $1,750 - UP

1793 S-4 R3 Chain AMERICA with Periods PCGS Genuine, VG Details Environmental Damage. Sharpness near F12 but covered with moderate corrosion and granularity. No verdigris. The only mark is a fresh scratch through a chain link under CE in CENT. The date and legends are complete and readable in spite of distortion caused by the corrosion, and both of the Periods are visible. Chocolate brown and olive with some lighter brown toning on the reverse. Our grade is net AG3. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Estimate Value $1,400 - UP

1793 S-5 R4 Wreath Cent with Large LIBERTY PCGS graded Fair-2. Vine & Bars edge. Slightly glossy medium steel brown and chocolate with darker olive brown in protected areas. The surfaces are mostly smooth, just worn. A rim dent left of the L in LIBERTY and another off the tip of the bust are the notable marks. The date is gone but most of LIBERTY and the reverse legends remain visible. Our grade is Fair-2+. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Estimate Value $400 - UP

1793 S-6 R3 Wreath Cent, Vine & Bars Edge PCGS Genuine, VF Details Environmental Damage. Sharpness VF but the surfaces are dull thanks to uniform extremely fine granularity. No verdigris, and the only marks are a half dozen light rim bruises on the obverse. Dark olive brown and steel. EDS with just a hint of a wave in the field behind the portrait. 1793 S-8 R3 Wreath Cent, Vine & Bars Edge PCGS Genuine, Fine Details Environmental Damage. Slightly glossy medium steel brown with darker steel in the protected areas. The highpoints are smooth but the remainder of the planchet is covered with fine porosity. No verdigris and the only notable mark is a small vertical nick near the rim behind the portrait. The date is weak but readable and the legends are nearly complete. Later die state with obvious swelling in the center of the reverse. Our grade is VG8+ sharpness net G5. 1793 S-11b R4 Wreath Cent with Lettered Edge PCGS Genuine, VF Details Environmental Damage. Variety with two leaves following DOLLAR on the edge. Sharpness VF20 but there is minor roughness in the fields and protected areas on the obverse. The highpoints on the obverse and all of the reverse are nice and smooth. No notable marks or verdigris. Mostly glossy medium chocolate brown with slightly lighter brown toning on the highpoints. M-LDS, Breen state III, with obvious die clashmarks on the obverse including an incuse A from AMERICA nestled between the T in LIBERTY and the brow. The date and legends are complete and clear. A decent example of this popular "Redbook" variety. Our grade is net F12. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Estimate Value $3,000 - UP

1793 S-11c R3- Wreath Cent with Lettered Edge PCGS Genuine, Good Details Environmental Damage. Variety with a single leaf following DOLLAR on the edge. The sharpness is Good, especially on the portrait and most of the wreath, but this cent is corroded and was cleaned. No verdigris, and the only notable mark is a planchet fissure at ES in STATES that extends to the first A in AMERICA. Small pieces of the date can be made out in spite of the roughness and less than half of the legends remain visible. Most of the lettering on the edge remains clear, including the single leaf following DOLLAR. Our grade is net Fair-2. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Estimate Value $400 - UP

1793 S-14 R5- Liberty Cap PCGS Genuine, Good Details Environmental Damage. Sharpness near VG, especially on the right side of the bisecting obverse die crack, but the planchet is covered with fine to moderate granularity. No verdigris, and the only mark is a small planchet void at the rim over ST in STATES (as struck). Very slightly glossy olive brown and chocolate. Later die state. The bisecting die crack on the obverse is strong and the fields left of the crack are slightly higher than those on the right side. The date is weak but readable and the legends are complete except for weakness on ONE CENT. Our grade is net G4. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Estimate Value $2,500 - UP
