1892-S. NGC graded AU-58. Popular key date in high grade. The 1892-S Morgan dollar is quite similar to the 1893-S Morgan, both of which are virtualy impossible to find in full mint state grades. This collector pressure is high even for XF examples, and Aus are often prohibitive for many. Finding the 1892-S dollar in the grade of AU58 is quite unusual and in feverish demand from collectors. This one shows most of the breast feathers on the eagle and just a hint of rub on the curls over Liberty's hair. This is quite important on this key date. If you demand a high end coin for your collection, then look no further than this lot if you want a near mint, lustrous 1892-S. Pop 141; 55 finer at NGC. (PCGS # 7218) Estimate Value $8,500 - 9,000

This is a coin of exceptional quality, with the surfaces that are so fragile its a wonder any example like this could have survived with such amazing surfaces and retaining the quality as well.
