Lot 1049		1898-O. NGC graded MS-65. A hint of gold tone and mostly bright silver with good luster. The strike is generally sharp save for the claw holding the arrows, which shows the usual softness. This is one of the finer examples known of this date and mint, and an important offering as such. Lot 1051		1901-O. NGC graded MS-66. Fully white with mirror surfaces on both sides. The surfaces are quite clean and attractive. We do note faint roller lines from the planchet preparation process on Liberty's face, commonly seen on this denomination on the branch mint coins. The strike is sharper than commonly seen, with the arrow claw well defined. A condition rarity this nice! This one shows a fully outlined thumb on Liberty, but some of the central skirt lines are flat--as nearly always seen on this prized issue.
