Original Section of Railroad Track from Florida East Coast Railway, Florida Keys and Denver & Rio Grande Locomotive Blueprint. Great for collectors of railway ephemera. First a section of track from the Over-sea Railway in Florida Keys built by Henry Flagler (founder of Standard Oil) and completed in 1912 and called "The Eight Wonder of the World", Unfortunately it was destroyed by a hurricane in 1935. Section of track is 4½ x 6 x 5" and has a battery clock set inside (untested) and plaque identifying authenticity and provenance. Section weighs 10 pounds. The other is a re-print of a the design of the locomotive for the Denver & Rio Grande Locomotive, 1881. Excellent presentation piece blueprint measures 45 x 21" printed on Clear Line Blueprint Bond Guaranteed 80% Rag which is seen in reverse on verso, In excellent condition with only one small puncture. Will be shipped rolled and separate from rail segment. Estimate Value $150 - UP

Relics From the Great Chicago Fire (1871), the San Francisco Fire (1906), and the Oregon State Capitol Fire (1935). Small smoking pipe, 5¾" long, with a tile sheared on to the stem, with an old note: From the Ruins of the Great Chicago Fire. A blue and white water pitcher, 6½ x 6½ x 4", was burned in the San Francisco fire and was recovered by Elsa H. Roach from her home. A letter of provenance accompanies the pitcher. A third relic is a lobby rail, 3¾" long x 2" in diameter, which was in The Old Statehouse (Salem, OR) which burned in 1935; the rail is mounted on a 6¾ x 4" piece of polished marble. (3 items). A Pictorial Record of Its Construction, with drawings of Vernon Howe Bailey (New York: William Edwin Rudge, 1931); two plates from the Empire State Club;a copper medallion, a copper ingot, and the world's largest First Day Cover, all celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Statue of Liberty's completion; a demitasse cup aand saucer featuring the Empire State Building; cufflinks with the Empire State Building; a vintage magnifying glass with the Empire State Building; a small piece of stone from the 86th floor of the Empire State; a 1958 medallion featuring the United Nations building in New York, given as a prize. Also, a goup of items commemorating the opening and the 100th anniversary of the Brooklyn Bridge in 1983 and a vintage original Brooklyn Ferry, Staten Island Captains hat ca. 1950s. Six Antique Handtools Late 19th and Early 20th Century and Two Vintage Magnifying Glasses: All Highly Prized Collectibles. Vintage and antique hand tools have become very collectible in the last 20 years with many incorporated in every type of display and use from wall art to lamp bases. Offered are six such pieces, the best being the hand made brass and mahogany wood plane and level. The plane still has the iron (blade) and original wedge and works as well today as it did decades ago. The amount of use has created a fantastic patina to the wood and brass. The same goes for the level, also hand crafted and miraculously, the glass cylinder with water still intact. Also included are two antique wood, brass and steel braces all steel, wood and brass knob stamped G. Moulson Sheffield and the wood and brass one, unmarked. Finally a black painted iron and brass level again glass and water cylinders intact and a small wood handled tapping hammer. Also included are two vintage magnifying glasses, one of Bakelite, the other in white metal with horn knob. All these tools in excellent and appealing condition. Estimate Value $600 - UP

From the 1939 New York World's Fair -- 64 Pieces Wm. Rogers Silver Plate Includes 12 Souvenir Teaspoons Naming Buildings. 1939 World's Fair: The set, by Wm Rogers Mfg. Co., is of modernist design. It consists of 8 knives, 8 forks, 8 salad forks, 8 soup spoons, 7 teaspoons, a butter knife and 7 spreaders, 2 serving spoons, and a sugar spoon. Each piece has the date, "1939," an image of the Trylon and Perisphere, with "Theme Building,"followed by "New York World's Fair." Many of the pieces are still wrapped in the original paper.

Additionally, there are 12 teaspoons, each with the name and an image of one of the buildings: United States Government Building; Marine Transportation Building; Textile Building; New York City Exhibit Building; Georgian Section in Court of the States Buildings; Aviation Building; Railroad Transportation Building; Consumer Interests Building; New York State Amphitheater; Hall of Medicine and Public Health; Food Exhibition Building; and Administration Building. Each piece is also marked "Pat. Pend. Wm Rogers Mfg Co IS."

The 1939 World's Fair covered the 1,216 acres of Flushing Meadows-Corona Park (which was also the location of the 1964-1965 New York World's Fair). Its motto was "The World of Tomorrow" and close to 45 million people attended its exhibits in two seasons. Estimate Value $750 - UP

Very Rare Louis Comfort Tiffany Enamel on Copper Bowl, 19th Century, Signed. Extremely rare, highly prize enamel on copper bowl from the Tiffany Glass and Decorating Company (1892 - 1902). These pieces are some of the most highly prized works by Tiffany and are only usually found in museums including on display at the American Wing of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933) the bowl is a masterwork of thickly glazed enamel of flowers completely surrounding the bowl in bursts of luminous oranges, yellows, greens, blues and purple. Etched L. C. T. on base with the initials E. L.II just below (possibly the enameler), bowl is 2 x 3 x 3". and again ca. 1900. Near to mint condition. Estimate Value $10,000 - UP

Exquisitely Crafted, Carved Green Marble Box with Low Karat Yellow Gold Trim and Russian Folk Art Pattern. From Central Russia, a masterpiece in craftsmanship. A gorgeous dark green marble box with carved sunflower folk art detail centered on lid. When opened, the lip of hinged lid and box are in polished gold that scratch tested at 10K yellow. There are no hallmarks of any kind. But know this box is flawlessly made. No chips, cracks, repairs of any kind, the box measures 3¼ x 7¼ x 4¼", red fabric lined, and absolutely beautiful. Pair of Lovely, Art Nouveau, Patinated Bronze Twin Handled Vases. Very nice pair of Art Nouveau (style) bronze vases. Both twin handled in deep russet patinated bronze, the base of the handles forming overlapping leaves and the tops forming the flowers. Extremely appealing pair with the handles and body without dents, bends or scratches. Both stand 11½" and 4" in diameter at their widest girth. These are unsigned, with no maker or hallmark save for an auction house sticker, so likely 20th Century. Nevertheless very well made and quite appealing. Estimate Value $400 - UP
