19th Century Engraving Aquatint: "Vue de New York" Engraved by Garneray ca. 1840s, Hand Tinted. Beautiful aquatint of a view of New York City and Harbor as seen from Weehawken, New Jersey, a popular vantage point for early views of the city. With details of 19th Century New York including many architecturally splendid churches, the tallest at the southern end of the island being Trinity Church. Strong plate impression. 15 x 18" modestly framed to 19¼ x 23¼. In fine condition, with exceptional and lovely colors We note a minor contusion and very minor soiling in bottom white borders, but the image is wonderful. Estimate Value $500 - UP

Bragg, Charles "Brain Surgeon" & "Bacchantes" -- Signed Editions. (1931-2017) Beloved illustrator of the ribald, the silly and the satirical. Offered are two signed and limited edition etchings. 1.) "The Brain Surgeon" signed, numbered and titled by Bragg from 1977. 9 x 11" but matted down to 7 x 9". 2.) "Bacchantes" 7 x 9" matted down to 5 x 6½ also edition of 54/150 signed by Bragg. City of Washington, View beyond the Navy Yards -- Currier & Ives. Color engraving showing Washington from the south bank of the Anacostia River. On the right is the Washington Navy Yard, which was established in 1799. Behind is the original Capitol Building and to the left is the White House. Currier & Ives is at lower left. Some dampstains visible on outer edges of border. Print is 11½ x 15¼". Framed to 13¾ x 18" in contemporary wood frame, which has numerous scrapes and nicks.

At lower left in pencil is "Homage to Telemann 10/6." Image of a musician playing one musical instrument while another lies at his feet. Irving Amen (1918 -) is an American printmaker. Salvador Dali: The Sun of Dalí -- Hand-signed and Numbered Color Lithograph. A large sun signed "Dalí" in pencil at lower right and numbered 113/200 in pencil at lower leflt. Signed and dated 1965 in the plate. Printed in the lower left corner is A. Manaranche, Litho. The sun has one eye open and half of an up-turned mustache. At lower left, two voluptuous women walk away, carrying jars on their heads. Primarily yelow, green, and blue, with touches of red. No faults noted. Size: 28½ x 19¾". Matted and framed to 30½ x 22". Three Engravings by William Henderson, Francis Wheatley, and Luigi Crosio. (1) William Henderson. The Children's Prayer, engraved by after a picture by Arthur Hacker. Size: 24 x 19 inches, attractively framed to 32½ x 27½". (2) Francis Wheatley. Turnips & Carrots…. Stipple engraving, 16 x 12½" (sight); matted and framed to 23½ x 19½ in. Plate 13 of The Cries of London, engraved by Thomas. Gaugain after Wheatley's painting (published by Colnaghi & Co., 1797). An image of a vegetable seller, her goods carried by a donkey and a woman holding some turnips she has just purchased. Light toning, else fine. (3) Luigi Crosio. Dancing Arabic Women. Black and white etching signed "L. Crosio" in the plate at lower left, 13¾ x 20½ in. Matted and framed to 24 x 30 in. A young man plays a musical instrument whille a young woman dances on a roof-top terrace. Three other women play instruments or watch. Minor scratches to sky; otherwise, fine. Crosio was an Italian artist (1835-1916) who specialized in genre pictures. He painted many romantic 18th century portraits and scenes. Estimate Value $200 - UP

Magasin à charbon de la flotte Anglaise. Original etching of an English coal hulk signed in the plate at lower left by A. Ballin (1842-1880). 8¾ x 12½", matted and framed to 12¾ x 16½". Light foxing, else fine.

(With) Vüe du Quirinal ou Palais du Pape sur le Montagne Cavallo a Rome. Paris, chez Daumont, rue St. Martin. Colored etching, a perspective view, or vue d'optique (18th century). 11½ x 16½".
