1929 Type 2, $20 National Bank Note. First NB, Ardmore, OK. Charter #13677. PCGS Very Fine 35PPQ. Fr-1802-2. KL-1318. This bank was chartered in April, 1933, during the depths of the Great Depression, and replaced the similarly named charter #12472. Only small size Type 2 notes were issued, and this stellar, lightly circulated example is new to the census which now numbers 16 survivors. Estimate Value $400 - 500

There are only a dozen small size notes reported in the census from this scarce bank, which is slightly more common in large size than in small. The upper left corner tip is missing, as noted by PCGS Currency, however this is the only mentionable flaw on this solid circulated piece. Estimate Value $150 - 200
