Outstanding Collection of 23 German Beer Steins of Every Size and Style. A knockout collection of beer steins for collectors, dealers, decorators, pubs or gifts. 23 porcelain stoneware steins of every size and design all in excellent condition. Highlighting just a few is the Werner Cozelius German stoneware stein with the Lords Prayer printed on it and is the tallest at 14". Many are quality restrikes of classic steins such as the owl stein, military steins, commemorative train steins, there is a stein celebrating the American Bald Eagle by Anheuser-Busch (this appears to be a limited series and the only Chinese made stein), an Olympia beer stein, a limited edition stein celebrating the American Indian with a detailed pewter lid of a buffalo, and other gorgeous German steins celebrating life, love, and courtship all handpainted with pewter lids and if made in Germany, stamped as such (some stamped Made in West Germany) which is 20 of the 23. The steins are from the 1960s to present day. No chips or cracks, all lids well hinged. Estimate $600 - 900

14 Beautiful German Beer Steins by Gerz, Fantastic Designs and Themes. Simon Peter Gerz founded his ceramic stoneware beer stein company in the 1850s and his name and brand continued to 1999 for quality steins from Germany. Offered are 14 pieces, all with various themes and sizes but all with great appeal. The tallest stein has a hunting theme with two stags and a hound and stands 13" tall. There are also steins celebrating Christopher Columbus with a stoneware globe sitting atop the pewter lid, two fantastic steins celebrating sailing ships one with the captain standing atop pewter lid, another stein celebrating a fox hunt complete with a red fox handle, several of small German towns, one of Munich, several of men and women at Octoberfest and one is musical with a music box in the base. All boast deep rich colors, different designs, and in superior condition with no chips or cracks. All are stamped Gerz, Germany and in a variety of their stamps, stickers or impressions clearly indicating post 1960s. A fantastic collection for collectors, dealers, decorators or gifts for the Season. Estimate $500 - 800

Impressive, Large, 4 Liter Gerz Beer Stein. This is an extra large Gerz lidded beer stein boasting in high relief men and women celebrating love and life with the German saying at the top "Bei Tanz und Scherz bleibt froh das Herz" which translates to "Dancing and jesting your heart is merry". This 4 Liter stein is stamped Gerz and "4L" and is absolutely spectacular. It stands 22 x 7 x 7" and is in perfect condition beautifully hand painted ceramic stoneware. A perfect addition to any bar, pub, collector, and aficionado of beer. Estimate $200 - 400

Three Commemorative Pieces of British Monarchs & Lord Nelson. Commemorative beaker, vase, and rum decanter. The first a 1902 King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra Coronation beaker. Made by Watcombe, Pottery, Torquay, Devon, England. Raised portraits of Edward and Alexandra, national flowers of the Union and the coronation dates. The back reads Town & Hamlets Holsworth with a high relief coat of arms. In excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration and stands 4½ x 3¼ x 3¼" with Watcombe Torquay stamped on base of beaker. Next is a commemorative vase/beaker celebrating the coronation in 1911 of King George V by Minton depicting the HMS King George V Dreadnougt. Ship was 23,400 tonnes, present at the battle of Jutland and had a crew of 1100. It was scrapped in 1926. Also in excellent condition, stampe Minton at base and stands 5 x 4 x 4"and with no chips, cracks or restoration. Finally a not at all rare but popular decanter celebrating Lord Nelson in this Wade porcelain decanter for Pusser's rum. Decanter itself is in excellent condition. The blue stopper has a repair at edge with some cork missing. Nevertheless presents nicely. Estimate $200 - 300
