1946 United Nations Monetary Pattern. HK-873, Rarity 6. Sharpness of UNC Details, Cleaned. Originally proposed by coin dealers Abe Kosoff and Hans M. F. Schulman as an international currency, but was never approved. These "ESSAI" were struck by Medallic Art Co. in various metals, and only 314 of these gold pieces were made.
