Lot 97
1793 Flowing Hair Half Cent. . C-2. Sharpness of VF-30 but scratches and rough surfaces. Sharply struck, with excellent details on all devices and lettering, making this a good selection for a type coin. Inspection recommended, as the surfaces are pretty normal for the issue, and the color is decent.

1811 Classic Head Half Cent. . C-2. PCGS graded EF-45. One of the classic rarities of the Half Cent series, the date 1811 conjures up memories of tattered and faded want lists pulled from wallets, always with the date "1811" still unchecked. Here is a coin that will excite most collectors, without destroying their bank accounts. The surfaces are medium brown with an average number of ticks on both sides. As to the strike, it is a bit weak on the left side, but sharp on the right. As with most coins seen from this pairing show no die cracks or other deterioration. One of the features is the way the date 1811 was punched into the die, each digit seems to be leaning sharply to the left. A delightful coin for the collector to long enjoy.
