Lot Photo Description Realized
Lot 735
1894 Barber Half Dollar. PCGS graded Proof 65. A gem proof that is mostly untoned save for an arc at the top of the obverse. Boldly impressed and perfect for the investor who needs this date or type.
Estimated Value $2,200 - 2,500.

Lot 736
1894 Barber Half Dollar. NGC graded Proof 65 Cameo. This is a special coin because of the cameo designation. Only 4 have been graded as such by NGC with the cameo designation, while this would be somewhat common if it were just a regular proof issue in this grade. Mostly untoned, with mountain high frost on the devices and well mirrored fields. Examination will scarcely find a mark on this coin, and the fields are very nice indeed for the grade assigned. If you want a really beautiful example of this date, examine this to see if its the coin for your collection.
Estimated Value $1,800 - 2,200.

Lot 741
1901-O Barber Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-65. This is a scarce date in gem mint state, PCGS has graded 4 this high, with only 2 coins graded higher. Note the delicate gold peripheral toning and the mint-fresh luster in the fields. New Orleans did not strike this one fully, there is some weakness on the lower obverse stars and more so on the reverse devices. Liberty's cheek is clean and shows faint horizontal lines from the original planchet rolling process. A rarity that is seldom offered in such high grade, and worth a good bid.
Estimated Value $8,000 - 10,000.

Lot 746
1911 Barber Half Dollar. NGC graded MS-65. Boldly struck throughout and loaded with mint luster. A common date, but still scarce in full gem condition. Untoned and frosty, with the appearance of a Morgan dollar that has just been pulled from a mint bag. NGC has graded 12 this high, with 7 graded higher.
Estimated Value $2,000 - 2,500.

Lot 747
1914 Barber Half Dollar. PCGS graded Proof 66. Deep mirror fields that are remarkably free of contact, and Liberty's face too, which shows just light hairlines. Cloudy haze over stone white surfaces. Certainly one of the finest graded, with just 8 seen this high by PCGS, with 10 graded higher (all PR67). A bright, shiny coin for the date specialist.
Estimated Value $3,500 - 4,000.

Lot 748
1914 Barber Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-62. This is the lowest mintage date of the entire series, and a coin that is seldom found in full uncirculated condition. Silvery luster is overlayed with gold toning around the edges. Minor hairlines on both sides, accounting for the grade. Still and all, appealing enough for the collector, and well struck too.
Estimated Value $800 - 900.

Lot 749
1915-S Barber Half Dollar. NGC graded MS-65. Probably from a small hoard of 5 rolls of this date that turned up many years ago. This one is well struck, completely untoned and still quite flashy. NGC has graded 28 as such, with 13 graded higher for this final year of issue of the Barber half dollar. Minor hairlines in the fields and a nice coin for the grade.
Estimated Value $2,000 - 2,500.
